Barcelona 1

Barcelona 1.

After a crappy sleepless flight and a delay in getting in to our rental flat we set off briefly while waiting for The flat be cleaned to the Boqueria. We are literally outside the door of the Boqueria and score, across the street from a small wine vendor.

With time to kill waiting for the apt to get cleaned we set off to get food. Instead of buying foodstuffs we hit Bar central to eat.

We started with cava for me and wine for the husband. I debated between prawns and octopus and for some reason got the calamare.

It was flat grilled and drenched in herb garlic oil like everything on the menu. And good.

The husband inexplicably got pork even though seafood was the thing.

He was pleased and to each their own.

Tired and losing it. I took a couple pics and found a bread shop next door that was the bomb.

The bread shop had pan con olives which made me want to die so we bough some and stopped at the wine shop and back to the apt hoping for a nap. But no one had come to clean yet while we were gone and that sucked.

Finally they showed so I could sleep.

After a looong nap it was time for dinner. We set off and hit Mam I Teca.

We had salted fried peppers which I will try to make at home.
